Departing early from Dar es Salaam city center, you’ll head south along the Tanzania/Zambia Highway to Mikumi National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch. Return to Dar es Salaam City in the late afternoon.
Mikumi National Park is a highly popular destination in Tanzania, spanning 3,230 square kilometers. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater kudu, wildebeest, roan, and sable antelope. Predators such as tree-climbing lions, leopards, wild hunting dogs, and black-backed jackals are also commonly seen. Additionally, the park boasts over 300 bird species, including Eurasian migrants like the red-billed oxpecker, marabou stork, and lilac-breasted roller.
