This 5-day Tanzania safari offers an unforgettable experience through some of Africa’s most iconic destinations. From the baobab-dotted plains of Tarangire, to the endless savannahs of Serengeti, and the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll enjoy game drives, luxury camps, and the option to add unique experiences like a hot air balloon safari and a beach extension in Zanzibar.

Itinerary | Day to day

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Transfer to Arusha

Distance: ~55 km
Drive Time: ~1 hour

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your personal safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Relax and unwind as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Distance: ~120 km
Drive Time: 2.5–3 hours

After breakfast at 7:00 AM, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a thrilling game drive and spot animals like giraffes, zebras, and lions.

Lunch will be served at a picnic site in the park. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for overnight.

Distance: ~250 km (via Ngorongoro Conservation Area)
Drive Time: 6–7 hours (with stops and game drive)

Wake up early, have breakfast, and begin the scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing crater viewpoints before descending into the Serengeti Plains. Game viewing begins as soon as you enter the park.

Arrive at your luxurious tented camp in time for dinner and relaxation.

Spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti National Park, following the movement of wildlife including lions, elephants, cheetahs, and (depending on season) the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Optional: Start your morning with a Hot Air Balloon Safari followed by a champagne bush breakfast (extra cost).
In the evening, enjoy a relaxing sundowner with snacks and drinks as the sun sets over the plains.

Distance: ~190 km to Ngorongoro, then ~190 km to Arusha
Drive Time: ~8 hours total (including game drive)

Wake up early, have breakfast at 5:30 AM, and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the caldera for a 3–4 hour game drive. Spot rhinos, lions, elephants, and hippos in this wildlife-rich area.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater around 12:30 PM, then ascend and drive back to Arusha or continue to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home or your next adventure in Zanzibar.
