Day 1: Arrival – Tarangire National Park Game Drive



Distance (Arusha to Tarangire): ~120 km
Drive Time: 2.5–3 hours
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, your guide will pick you up and drive straight to Tarangire National Park for a full-day safari. Known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire is also home to lions, zebras, wildebeest, and many bird species.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Start your day with an early breakfast, then descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor is home to a dense concentration of animals including rhinos, elephants, lions, and flamingos in Lake Magadi.
Enjoy a packed lunch at the picnic site inside the crater, surrounded by stunning views. In the afternoon, return to Karatu for overnight rest.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi for a special cultural encounter with the Hadzabe tribe. You’ll join them on a traditional hunt and learn how they live off the land. The experience is hands-on, educational, and unforgettable—perfect for all ages.
After the visit, begin your drive back to Arusha. Depending on your travel plans, you may:
