Itinerary | Day to day

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Airport Pickup & Transfer to Arusha

Distance: ~55 km
Drive Time: 1–1.5 hours

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your friendly guide will meet and transfer your family to your lodge in Arusha for rest and dinner.

Distance: ~120 km
Drive Time: 2.5–3 hours

After breakfast, depart at 8:00 AM for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a family-friendly game drive and spot zebras, giraffes, lions, and more.

Lunch will be a scenic picnic inside the park. Later, drive to Karatu for overnight.

Drive Time: 6–7 hours with game viewing stops

Depart early and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic views before arriving in the Serengeti. Over the next two days, explore the vast plains teeming with wildlife. Your kids will love spotting lions, elephants, cheetahs, and possibly the Great Migration, depending on the season.

Depart Serengeti early after breakfast and head to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a 3–4 hour game drive where your family will enjoy close-up encounters with rhinos, hippos, and lions in the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

After your picnic lunch, ascend and drive to your lodge at the crater rim or in Karatu.

Start early and drive to Lake Eyasi, home of the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers. Your family will join them on a traditional hunt and learn their unique way of life. Later, visit a Datoga blacksmith village for a hands-on learning experience.

After lunch, return to Arusha. On the way, you can stop at a curio shop for souvenirs.
