7 DAYS LEMOSHO ROUTE

The 7-Day Lemosho Route with Chacha Safaris is more than just a climb it’s a breathtaking journey through some of Kilimanjaro’s most stunning landscapes. Beginning on the quiet western slopes, this scenic route takes you from lush rainforests alive with wildlife to the golden moorlands and across the high alpine desert before reaching the snow-covered summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Known for its peaceful trails, slower pace, and excellent acclimatization, the Lemosho Route offers one of the highest success rates to the top. Every step brings new views, new challenges, and unforgettable moments on Africa’s tallest mountain.

Why Choose the Lemosho Route?

The Lemosho Route offers one of the best acclimatization profiles on Mount Kilimanjaro. Its longer and more gradual ascent gives your body time to adjust to the altitude, significantly reducing the risk of altitude sickness and increasing your chances of a successful summit.

Experience breathtaking views as you trek through lush rainforests, rolling moorlands, dramatic ridges, and glacier-covered peaks. Along the way, you may even encounter wildlife such as colobus monkeys, buffalo, and various bird species, making every step unforgettable.

Unlike the busier Machame or Marangu routes, the Lemosho Route provides a quieter and more serene trekking experience. You’ll enjoy the beauty of Kilimanjaro in a calm and natural setting, perfect for travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility.

With 7 to 8 days on the mountain, the Lemosho Route offers an excellent balance of adventure and acclimatization. This longer itinerary increases your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak successfully, making it one of the most recommended routes for climbers aiming for the top.
